While the Surf Shell provides added protection, it is not the same level of protection as a 'full-spec' surf helmet.

Intended for light or busy surf conditions to help protect from bumps and gashes. Not intended for use in extreme surf or big wave conditions.

For best performance, ensure the sweatband is fitted snugly over the shell and toggle tightened appropriately.

Will it stay on in big waves?
It’s designed to stay secure through wipeouts and duck diving in small to medium size surf conditions. We do not recommend SurfShell for heavy or extreme conditions.

Can I wear it all session?
Absolutely! It’s lightweight and breathable for long sessions.

Do I need this if I’m a beginner?
This is actually when it’s most helpful, it gives extra confidence while you’re learning where to position in the line up.

Does it have a hard brim?
